I reckon it is worth a fortune to be able to do that. I have not checked out Martin's link, but I reckon the most that MS will give you (VB6 Help wise), would be online look up? The advantage of installing the way I described was, you got integrated Help, allowing you to jump straight to the desired topic directly from your code. You had to install VB6 first, then install the VB6 Help files. ![]() Oct 2000 was a good year (I'll drink to that). The next trick was to judge which version to use, that would be the most up to date for VB6 and ADO, BUT NOT BE FLOODED with VB.NET crap. ) Or perhaps we did get a set, but it was crap, as they had not included crucial stuff like ADO Help? Anyway a bit later the news came out (but not very loudly), that we could apply to MS, and get a free 12 month subscription to MSDN (which included the Installer for the vb6 Help files) It actually was 4 quarterly sets of CDs (or DVDs) That issue (or re-issue?) did include the ADO Help, and was more up to date. If one were one of the first to get VB6, you did not get the Help Files.
